Over the years,
I have seen Fluid Film grow in popularity and almost take on
a cult-like status. We have many customers who are genuinely excited
by our products and there is nothing more satisfying than listening
to our customers describe in detail how well Fluid Film has worked
for them. We started a "Share your Applications" page for just that purpose.
Please take the time to share your experience using
Fluid Film with us, or let
us know what you think of our site. We have built this site for you,
our Customers, and would like as much feedback as possible to expand,
alter, or change something that you feel could be improved upon or added.
I have worked for this company for over 13 years and have truly come to
appreciate the superior quality of our products, and at times I
can get quite excited about them myself. On occasion, someone will
get this funny little smile on their face when I talk about Fluid Film,
and I usually equate that to the fact that they don't consider lubricants
and rust/corrosion preventives to be very exciting. Then again, I could
just look funny. I don't know. There's a reason I don't have a picture up
on the Website. Hey, some people think I'm funny; others just look at me
that way.
I'd like to share an interesting story with you regarding Fluid Film...
Fluid Film has been used by John Deere in their manufacturing plant in
Moline, IL to protect Combines & Tractors being shipped overseas. This
first started when John Deere was forced to ship some heavy equipment
on the top deck of an ocean-going vessel, exposing the equipment to the
highly corrosive effects of salt-water. Fluid Film has proven highly successful
for this application, being used by the Navy, Coast Guard, and
Offshore Drill Rigs for over 50 years. Anyway, we started getting some complaints
directed at us by John Deere dealers who were receiving the equipment,
saying that the coating was so thick that they were having a difficult time
removing it. They were using a high-pressure water wash and they were worried
it would damage the paint.
We sent a representative out to the Moline facility to see how it was being
applied, and discovered that they were hosing it on to the point where it
would be oozing down the sides. Fluid Film only needs to be lightly applied.
It will only take a light mist to protect equipment. Because Fluid Film
is non-drying, it will migrate to inaccessible areas. They haven't had any
problems since, but I thought it was pertinent to show that it does not
take a large amount of product to do the job, and also show the tenacity
of the product once it's on.
If you haven't looked through our web site, please take the time to explore
the world of Fluid Film. Watch some of the videos to learn
more about applications or check out some of our frequently
asked questions.
We plan on adding new features or videos on a regular basis, so
check back to see what we have done. I am going to update the Newsletter
weekly, so be sure to come back and read more.
