The Snow Equipment Newsletter

Okay, so the weather is changing and it’s getting colder. It’s time to winterize equipment and prepare snow-equipment for the cold-weather months. Fluid Film can help ensure that both tasks will be completed properly and equipment will remain protected throughout the winter season.

Using Fluid Film to protect your equipment in storage is a no-brainer. With no solvent content, Fluid Film will not evaporate and will protect equipment for at least a year from the effects of moisture and atmospheric corrosion. Why invest all that money in equipment if you are just going to let it go when you’re not using it? One light coating of Fluid Film will allow you to put your mind at ease so you can spend your time enjoying the season without having to worry about the condition of your equipment.

When it comes to snow removal equipment, its #1 enemy is corrosion. Road salt and moisture create a highly corrosive atmosphere that will consume metal at an alarming rate if left unprotected. Fluid Film is an excellent vehicle undercoating and will protect for a full year. The lanolin base will imbed into the pores of the metal, and since Fluid Film remains active, it will migrate to inaccessible areas as well as resist water wash off. Electrical connections are susceptible to corrosion as well, and since battery outputs are greater during winter, battery protection is an important consideration during the harsh winter months. Fluid Film is non-conductive and will help protect battery terminals and electrical connections to keep snow removal equipment operating at peak performance.

Fluid Film will not freeze, making it an excellent snow release agent and ice inhibitor. Use Fluid Film to keep your locks from freezing, to keep snow from sticking to snow-blower chutes and to make that snow sled just fly down a hill.

With Fluid Film, the applications are endless. If you have one that you think we’d be interested in, please write us and we’ll post it on our “Share your Applications” page.
