The New Newsletter

Okay, I have to admit: This newsletter was rather tough. I had planned on doing the usual “New Year’s Resolution, Get your Life Together, blah, blah, blah” newsletter for January, but thought it would be pretty repetitious and boring after having done that last year. Besides, it’s the middle of January and I have a feeling that most people have already stopped with their resolutions anyway. You want to know why I’m late writing this newsletter? Because it was one of my resolutions to keep up on this page and Wham!, there ya go, resolution lost in the wind and forgotten already.

So, here I am, eager to enlighten you to the wonderful world of Fluid Film and hopefully entertain you a smidge in the process. You have probably clicked on this page because you’re fascinated by our unique, solvent-free, lanolin based product and want to explore every inch of our website. Either that or you were looking for a good Chinese food restaurant and an internet spider brought you here instead. Either way, you’re here, so sit back, put on your reading glasses and let’s get to it.

I think I will write this newsletter with bullet points to emphasize all the unique and special qualities of Fluid Film since there are so many.

  1. Fluid Film works. That’s the first point I feel I should make. If it didn’t work, people wouldn’t buy it. Its #1 function (notice the tie in with the bullet??) is to stop corrosion. Not only will it protect all metals from the corrosive effects of salts, fertilizers, and just about any other bugger that likes to create rust, it will stop existing rust on the spot! Not maybe slow it down or help slow it down, but STOP IT! Fluid Film’s lanolin base will penetrate through rust scale and actually imbed into the pores of metal, creating an unyielding barrier of protection. Oh darn, that was going to be my second point.
  2. Fluid Film’s lanolin base will penetrate rust scale and actually imbed into the pores of metal! That means long-term protection from the rust nasties and, in a side note it explains why Fluid Film will really bring back the shine to an old, oxidized paint job.
  3. Fluid Film will not evaporate. Fluid Film contains no solvents (See, now maybe that should have been my number one point. This isn’t as easy as it looks). With no solvent content, Fluid Film is going to outlast any comparable product and provide significantly more usable material in the process. On indoor equipment, you could get at least a year’s worth of protection/lubrication. (You heard that right, I said a year.) Outside in the elements, Fluid Film will last two to three months. The UV rays will break it down quicker than anything else.
  4. Fluid Film is not water-soluble and will not readily wash off a surface. You could take a regular garden hose and spray a surface coated with Fluid Film and that film will still remain when you are done. In fact, if you wanted to paint over a surface coated with Fluid Film you would need to pressure wash it off or use a good biodegradable soap. Paint won’t stick to a surface coated with Fluid Film: Which reminds me, Fluid Film will not harm paint, plastic or all but 100% natural rubbers (some swelling can occur with 100% natural rubber).
  5. Fluid Film will not burn greenery, which makes this an important point to landscapers, nursery owners and those green thumb enthusiasts. Fluid Film is an environmentally friendlier product and will help keep grass from clumping under mowers and sap and debris from sticking to hedge trimmers. Just don’t try to apply it on running equipment. May sound simple enough but there’s a guy with three fingers running around somewhere going “I knew I shouldn’t have done that!”
  6. Fluid Film will not freeze. This makes Fluid Film an excellent choice for locks during winter, as a snow release agent in snow blower chutes, for plow blades, for headlights in snowy driving and on light poles to keep tongues from sticking (Don’t know about that last one. We could run a test if you like).

Okay, I could keep running this list up but I’m starting to get writer’s cramps and am getting hungry. For some reason I have Chinese food stuck in my head. See you next month.
