Spring is my absolute favorite time of year. I finally get to emerge from the dismal planks of my winter cave (My wife is the inside person) and inspect the neglected remains of my beloved yard. With the sun kissing my cheeks like a new-found puppy I gleefully open up my shed to pull out the tools I’ll need to tackle my new projects. Spring has arrived and I am in heaven!
The first thing I notice as I inspect my tools is the glistening remains of Fluid Film on the metal. I smile as I reflect on the fact that my tools have withstood another winter season corrosion free and in perfect condition.
I pull out my lawnmower and get all tingly as I anticipate the smell of freshly cut grass soon to emanate across my yard. As I spray a new coat of Fluid Film under the mower deck to prevent any grass build-up, I hear my wife open the back door to ask for some help inside. I quickly jump up and yank on the starter cord, cranking up the engine and drowning out her voice as I grab some safety glasses to help cut my peripheral vision.
A big smile spreads across my face and I look up and wave as she heads back inside. Once the grass is finished being cut, I pull out my hedge trimmer and spray a fine mist of Fluid Film across the blades. My trimmer is soon cutting through hedges like butter, and I know I won’t end up with any brown tips since Fluid Film won’t burn greenery. As I finish up I hear my wife calling again so I dive inside the shed out of site to wipe down the trimmer. A simple wipe down is all that needed to remove any sap or debris that was sticking, since Fluid Film leaves a tack-free film that remains super slick.
Normally I like to spray down my equipment to keep it clean; remaining confident that Fluid Film will still be there when I am done. Fluid Film is not water soluble and will not readily wash off a surface. I also never have to worry about the effects of fertilizers or herbicides on my equipment since they are regularly maintained with Fluid Film. I even store my chemicals and fertilizer right next to my mowing equipment. Fluid Film will effectively stop any type of atmospheric corrosion from occurring.
I’m trying to avoid my wife while I begin my next project: A new pond for the back yard! As I begin to dig, I nervously glance up to see if she’s watching me, but so far so good. As I dig deeper the dirt begins getting a little mucky, so I spray some Fluid Film on the shovel to keep it from sticking.
All of a sudden she’s there, and I’m caught red-handed. She’s got one of those I-know-you’re-trying-to-avoid-me looks on her face and I turn a slight shade of red as the sweat drips off my brow.
“Now honey,” I say, “I was going to come in once I got this done.”
Her face takes on a yeah-right-you-were expression and she cracks a smile. “Yeah, right,” she says, “I’m sure you were. Could you just take care of the washing machine so I can get a load done?” She looks so cute as she crosses her arms and tries to look mad I can’t help but smile myself.
The washing machine has been squeaking like crazy lately, and I did tell her I’d fix it. I glance down at my handy can of Fluid Film and nod confidently. “Honey, I’ll have it done in no time.”
“Thanks,” she says, and that’s when she hits me with the Honey-Do-List. It’s a mile-long and filled with a hundred chores for Fluid Film.
“What’s this?” I say, and she reaches down and hands me my can of Fluid Film.
“I know how much you love this stuff. I just thought I’d help you find some more things to use it on.”
Fluid Film: It’s great stuff. Just don’t brag to the wife about it…
