The Shipping & Storage Newsletter!

To get this latest newsletter rolling, I thought I would start by asking one simple question: What exactly is Corrosion?

According to the American Heritage® Science Dictionary, it is the breaking down or destruction of a material, especially a metal, through chemical reactions. The most common form of corrosion is rusting, which occurs when iron combines with oxygen and water.

The overwhelming cost of corrosion in the United States, according to a report prepared by CC Technologies of Dublin, Ohio, and NACE International in Houston, is closing in on $276 billion a year! That is a whopping 3.4 percent of the Country's gross domestic product. In order too alleviate the corrosion problem, awareness is critical.

In the manufacturing industry, corrosion of new materials produced is a serious and ongoing problem. Products in sea transport or storage can face harsh conditions from salt air itself to moisture, humidity and gases, all which accelerate part failure, reduce life expectancy, and diminish value.

Fluid Film protects parts and equipment in the harshest of elements. Utilizing the amazing properties of lanolin, Fluid Film blends these properties with other specialized agents to create a coating of unparalleled quality. Fluid Film seeps into the pores of metal on contact, creating a barrier of protection that cuts off all oxygen and protects all metals from the destructive force of corrosion.. With the use of Fluid Film, equipment can sit topside without fear of salt air or salt water corrosion.

Companies that use Fluid Film to protect equipment overseas or in storage include John Deere, International Truck, Caterpillar and NASA. Applied at a thickness of 3 - 5 mils, Fluid Film can help alleviate corrosion concerns and financial burdens from product loss or damage.

Fluid Film: The Answer for Worldwide Corrosion.

Now that you know the answer for corrosion, let's see if you know the answers to any of these following questions?

Just For Kicks:
Can a stupid person be a smart-ass?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Why is it that night falls but day breaks?
Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?
Do jellyfish get gas from eating jellybeans?
Do pilots take crash-courses?
Do you think that when they asked George Washington for ID that he just whipped out a quarter?
How can there be self-help "groups"?
How do you write zero in Roman numerals?
If cats and dogs didn't have fur would we still pet them?
If swimming is good for your shape, then why do the whales look the way they do?
Why do they call it 'chili' if it's hot?

We don't really want the answers sent to us, so do us a favor and send in a clever pic instead like the one below.

Not exactly what we meant when we said Fluid Film is strong stuff!

"This stuff is great!! I've used the WD-40 and all the silicones and the CRC and I would NEVER go back!! I use it on everything...it doesn't evaporate and stays put..I even use it on my hoor hinges and garage door rollers and it never drips. I'm ready to order more.."

"I have been using it for years on my boat trailer and jetski trailer. I live around saltwater and this stuff is great if you don't want to change leafsprings, clamps and lugnuts."

"I use it on my hedge trimmer blades, it cut the deposit down at least 70% to 80%. So I have to say it works very well."

Have you seen the test results?

Results of an outside, independent test. Each products was sprayed onto 3" x 6" cold-rolled steel panels, allowed to dry for twenty four hours and then placed in a Salt Spray Chamber for 1,176 hours (7 weeks), according to ASTM B117 standards
