Applications: Golf Course Equipment Environmentally Friendlier, No Solvents

Golf Course Equipment is constantly being exposed to such highly corrosive substances as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, heavy rains and high humidity. The best protection from these elements is a systematic maintenance program. Fluid Film® can cut maintenance schedules drastically resulting in significant cost savings, due to the long-term corrosion protection and lubrication its material supplies. Neglected equipment can cost time, money and lead to early replacement of the equipment itself.

Having one product (Fluid Film®) which can serve as a lubricant, penetrant and rust/corrosion preventive saves time and money, helps reduce wear and tear on equipment and, being solvent free and classified as non-toxic and non-hazardous, has less of an impact on the environment. Most Golf Courses are built with a focus on environmental quality, since the beauty of the landscape is a big part of the golfing experience. Fluid Film® helps maintain that beauty and focus on environmental issues. Fluid Film® will also not burn greenery, making it the perfect choice for landscape maintenance.

"I use Fluid Film every time I install a new bed knife. It stops the corrosion between the bed bar, the knife and attaching screws. This is an amazing product and is my #1 choice for disassembling stubborn parts." - Chuck Cone, Turf Equipment Manager, Lake Arrowhead C.C.

"I highly recommend Fluid Film to anyone whose equipment is subjected to the chemicals, fertilizers and moisture on a day to day basis." - Chuck Dean, Owner/Certified Technician - Carolina Express Reel Grinding,LLC

  • Mowers:
One area for equipment health that should be checked regularly (daily) is under the decks of mowers. When dirt and debris (lawn clippings, etc.) build-up and aren’t removed they can quickly corrode the deck, shorten the life of the bearings in the spindles and also contribute to lawn disease. After a day of mowing, hose out the deck and apply a light spray of Fluid Film®. Fluid Film can be applied over a damp surface and will leave a non-drying film, cutting off all oxygen from the surface and creating a barrier of protection that will prevent all corrosion from occurring. Because of its non-drying characteristics, Fluid Film will also help keep grass and debris from sticking, making clean-up a breeze.

  • Hedge Trimmers:
Another excellent application for Fluid Film® is on hedge trimmers. Fluid Film will lubricate the blades, keep corrosion from occurring and help keep trimmings and sap from sticking for easy clean-up. Fluid Film will also not burn greenery when applied to cutting devices, making it the perfect product for landscaping maintenance.

  • Golf Carts:
For Golf Carts, Fluid Film® can be used to protect battery terminals. Being non-conductive, make sure connections are made before applying Fluid Film. One application should keep battery terminals corrosion free for at least a year. Fluid Film is also an excellent undercoating which will protect carts from fertilizers, pesticides and grass clippings.

  • Fertilizer Spreaders:
For Fertilizer Spreaders, maintenance is a must. Hose out spreader after use to remove all seed and fertilizer, than apply a light film of Fluid Film®. Fluid Film will not harm paint or plastic, and will provide complete corrosion control for all metals.

  • Applicators & Transfer Pumps handling Liquid Fertilizer:
Pour Fluid Film® NAS into the intake; turn the pump over once or twice to make sure the liquid is coating all the interior. When it is time to use the pump again, it will be in perfect working condition. Fluid Film Liq. A works well in this application as well.

  • Tools:
Spray on tools directly and rub in with dry cloth, or spray on cloth and rub in. Fluid Film® will leave a thin film which will not come off on your hands or clothes but provide long-term protection.

  • Maintenance & Storage Facilities:
Use Fluid Film® in maintenance & storage facilities to protect from corrosive elements such as fertilizers, pesticides and grass clippings.

  • Winterizing:
Equipment not properly maintained or suitably stored during the cold-weather months can end up raising costs substantially by the time spring rolls around. Heavy equipment needed during winter months require extra attention. Proper maintenance during these periods can help reduce the stresses involved with the cold-weather season. Battery requirements are also greater during winter months while their output is less, so proper battery care is an important part of equipment maintenance. Fluid Film will effectively stop any corrosion from occurring, allowing batteries to perform at optimum expenditure during this period. For equipment being stored indoors or out, a liberal dose of Fluid Film will prevent any corrosion from occurring. For equipment stored near fertilizers, Fluid Film protects all metals from atmospheric exposure.

  • Dethatchers, Verticutters and Seeders:
Equipment that is put into use for short, intense periods require extra care to keep lubricated and corrosion free. Using Fluid Film® during prep, application and storage will keep all metals, chains, tines and blades in perfect operating condition for each piece of equipment.
